A new year for the Lions. Same old same old as far as organisation is concerned. We half expected the game to be cancelled with the heavy rain, but we'd heard nowt and turned up at Hull road to find that the groundsman hadn't showed up. The pitch seemed ok, and the ref was happy so off went OUR secretary to bring back OUR nets. Problem was we'd already kicked off without nets... 10 mins in (apparently we'd gone 1-0 down, but no-one was sure if went in or not) and we paused the game to put the nets up. Top of the league with a 100% record, the Lions suddenly looked like the Lions of old, and were not putting up much of a fight. That was until the end of the second half when Chris Rigby scored a well taken goal, which was quickly added to by Adam Wash on the stroke of half time.
2-1 up we were keen to put the game out of sight, but the Nomads rallied and took control again. They should have equalised, but Washy scored his second to give us a win. Dranny could have scored again, but it was the Nomads who struck to make it 3-2. We managed to hang on to claim a win and stay top.
